The last few weeks have been filled with rumors, inside information, and speculation. That has all come to an end, now that the Hot Rod Power Tour dates and venues have been announced. This is the 29th Power Tour and the 75th Anniversary of Hot Rod Magazine.

The Power Tour will pick up where it left off last year. On June 12, 2023 the first venue will be Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. This is a great track for enthusiasts and this year, you can purchase tickets to take cruise laps on the oval.
The next stop on the tour is the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, South Carolina. This will probably be a good day to get merch and check out vendors. At most, there may be autocross and/or the mobile dyno activity wise.
Stop number three is Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina. The Rock first opened in 1965 and has a rich racing history. The track was mostly vacant for 14 years before reopening in 2018 as a Speedway and Entertainment Complex.
The fourth stop is zMax Dragway (Charlotte Motor Speedway) in Concord, North Carolina. This venue is a Power Tour favorite. We started there in 2019, and it was perfect for motorsports. The four lane drag strip and oval track are awesome!

The final stop on the 2023 Power Tour is Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. A legendary race track and Power Tour fan favorite. We also visited this track during the 2019 HRPT.

All in all, I am excited about the venues for 2023. They all seem large enough to accommodate a group the size of the Hot Rod Power Tour. They’re all setup for crowds and parking for groups much larger than what Power Tour draws. Yes, it’s the South in June. Yes, it will probably be hot. Plan accordingly!
