So and exciting moment in Hot Rod Power Tour just happened. Hot Rod Magazine announced the dates and locations of the 25th Power Tour stops for 2019. Hot Rod Power Tour is a 7 city road trip with approximately 6,000 hot rods across parts of the United States. Its an adventure and a great time for any enthusiast. Each stop draws crowds of thousands with drag racing, autocross, and other performance events. Not to mention the thousands of hot rods at each venue makes it feel like a top tier car show.
The event will kick off Saturday, June 8, 2019 at zMax Dragway in Concord, NC. Then travel to Martinsville, VA on Sunday and on to Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, TN) on Monday. Next stops include Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY) and Lucas Oil Raceway (Indianapolis, IN). The tour will then travel to Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN before finishing up at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH on Friday, June 14th.
The event organizers have done a great job listening to the feedback of die hard supporters and responding accordingly. People have asked that the dates and locations be announced sooner so that vacation and time off requests can be completed. Done. It was mentioned that it would be nice to hit new venues. Done. Hot Rod also appears to be taking advantage of historic NASCAR and NHRA venues along the way.
I am really excited about the trip in 2019 and I am contemplating completing all 7 cities in 7 days or long hauling. I had better get to work on the Cutlass. Planning on a few upgrades to further improve reliability and comfort. I will keep you posted.
