I recently had the opportunity to visit the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
It is an amazing facility full of classic and rare Corvettes.
The Corvette has an extensive racing history. It was designed to serve as a proper American sports car.
There were even a few prototypes that led to production features for both the Corvette and Camaro.
In 2014, a sinkhole formed in the Skydome of the museum. Some of the damaged cars were 1 of 1, and couldn’t be restored.
The Corvette has served as the pace car for the Indy 500 many times throughout its history. The museum Skydome displays these special editions.
You can’t talk about Corvettes without mentioning some of the great specialty outfits that produce custom creations for enthusiasts. Everything from eye catching body kits to high horsepower motors can be had from Lingenfelter, Greenwood, and Callaway.
